Instructor:Marcia Pasqua
Sundays (6 sessions)
November 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, Dec. 6th
11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Discover the historic and versatile art of Pochoir—a hand-colored stencil printmaking technique widely celebrated in the book arts. In this comprehensive, 6-session workshop, you will learn how to hand-cut stencils and managing precise registration.
The first two sessions emphasize spontaneous, freeform experimentation to build comfort with the medium. Over the final four sessions, you will advance to Pin and Tab registration techniques to design, cut, and print a small, coordinated edition of your own pochoir prints. Through hands-on demonstrations and direct, one-on-one instructor feedback, you will gain the skills to create beautiful abstract patterns or complex representational compositions.
