Intro to Gel Plate Printmaking with Botanicals

$65.00

Instructor: Traci Yoshiyama

Tuesday, November 17th

5 pm - 8 pm

Get ready to make some beautiful prints! This one-day workshop is a hands-on introduction to gel plate printmaking, a fun, approachable technique for creating your own prints and colored papers using a gel plate and acrylic paint. We’ll cover the basics of gel plate printing, color, and layering using real plants to create beautiful botanical impressions. You’ll build a body of prints as we go, and you’ll have the option to turn your favorites into handmade holiday gifts, gift tags or greeting cards, perfect for sharing a little something made by you for those you love.

If you've been curious about printmaking, the gel plate is the perfect place to start. It's accessible, anyone can do it, and the practice is built around play and experimentation. No experience required, no art background needed. Just come as you are, ready to explore.

What Is Included

  • 3 hours of guided workshop instruction.

  • A $10 supply fee must be paid in cash to the instructor, which includes in-class use of an 8" x 10" Gelli plate, paper, acrylic paints, brayers and all communal shop supplies.
