PRINT EXPERIENCE Ohe' Kāpala printing at HONOLULU PRINTMAKERS 1142 Bethel Street.

As an introduction to our Basics of Hawaiian Kapa workshop offered in November by Dalani Tanahy, we invite the community into the print studio to try a hands on printmaking skill practiced by Hawaiian kapa artists. Bamboo 'ohe (bamboo laths) are carved by local artists with intricate designs depicting repeat patterns found in nature. Participants can try printing several different types of carved 'ohe offered for sale by two local businesses.
